We are so happy to announce that On February 19th, 2022 the Marici Fellowship Branch-out Initiative was able to plant a total of 40 Ferns and Oregon Grape native species plants. These plants are vital to creating the understory growth needed for a healthy wooded area. The location was created to restore greenspace to the neighborhood, and is designated to be a small gathering place for the local community.
20 Volunteers joined this wonderful event, along with the Venerable Lamas from Sakya Monastery, who led prayers from the book “A Buddhist Tree Planting Ritual Entitled Making the Trees Of Benefit and Bliss Blossom” created by H.E. Khondung Avikrita Rinpoche.
Helping the environment, blessing the area, and coming together (safely) after being apart for so long. Truly a wonderful day.
Because pictures speak louder than words, please enjoy the following photos and keep your eyes open for the announcement of another Branch-out event in April!
