It must be Spring! New volunteers joined us for the first Dana Garden work party of the year. We were so grateful for the help, and we are excited they will be joining us again this summer!
We started out with a tour of both garden plots. Soil beds were dug and prepped. Ollas* were installed, trellises built, Peas planted, tomato house on new plot begun, and most important: coffee and donuts consumed and lots of conversation had : )
Thank you volunteers for your hard work! Anyone interested in joining us, please reach out.
*Ollas are terracotta pots that are buried into the soil and filled with water, the water wicks out and the plants roots grow toward it, taking only the amount of water they need and allowing us to cut our water usage by 70%!
