In honor of H. E. Khöndung Avikrita Rinpoche's birthday, here is a message from Marici Fellowship members from around the world:
In celebration of Rinpoche's birthday, Seattle-area Marici Fellowship Volunteers came together to create individual lunches for the Inn at Queen Anne Shelter.
The Sakya Monastery of Tibetan Buddhism in Seattle is not yet open to the public, so we met outside and prepared PBJ (Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwiches), along with mini veggies with Ranch dressing, dipping sauce, cheese sticks, and cookies for snacks. Notes of support and love were written on the wrapping of the sandwiches, yielding a personal connection with each lunch.
This was a wonderful day, and a wonderful way to celebrate Avikrita Rinpoche's birthday. Seeing each other, and helping new friends! We are excited about being able to provide regular meal service to this community and getting to know them when things open up again.
